Last Muslin fitting!

I was VERY happy when we fit last night. Melissa has toned her body beautifully and the dress fit just as i hoped it would. The adjustments are quite slight.. On to the final fabric!!!


This weekend I am off to pick up Melissa's silk color selections. We need to make sure the tone is just right for her skin.


Please don't mind the 2 color fabrics of this fitting dress, it is merely for fit. (looks kinda neat though hu!?)

First muslin fit sample

This is the first fitting dress. I was very happy for a first fitting. It already has a very nice shape and flow.

In the second fitting the bottom of the skirt will have much more volume and the train will be in its full glory. :)

These are the preliminary dress designs.

We will be doing our 2nd muslin fitting in 2 days.

Muslin is a sample fabric used in fashion for just testing the fit of the dress. It is a raw, basic material.

New fit photos will follow later this week!

I am excited to see how the dress will fit this time. On the day of our first fitting Melissa had lost over 4 inches in some places. YAY super bride!


but I told her.. once I cut into that final silk with in the next 2 weeks.. she is only allowed one more inch. ;)
